Turning of the Tides

It's been a long, busy journey this past year, now in the history books as 2014.  I have had much time to reflect upon the many unexpected events that occurred.

In many ways, these events are very much like a blooming flower.  You never really know how beautiful it will be until it shows its true colors.  It is only then that we can realize its deep beauty, the intricate design, the magnitude of its color and the sweetness of its scent.

Each unexpected event offers an opportunity, to expand our awareness, to get in touch with our own inner reality, and to shift any perceptions that may have been limited or bound by old, out-dated beliefs.  As we step into the moment more fully, we can begin to realize that everything in life changes, sooner or later.  And if things don't change, then we change to continue to adjust to the movement that occurs around us, through our interactions with people, national or world events, and our own inner guru.

In this way, we, too, are like a flower, in constant bloom, ever-changing with the movement of the sun, clouds, rain and environment.  We go through our own waves of blooming, wilting, discarding and then beginning again with a new blossom, and blooming to grace the world with a new color of our existence, a new shade of our inner light.

The year we have just left behind, 2014, was a year of many changes.  Seasons of change, tides flowing, presentation and release.  Awakening, and shifting.  Pushing forward and letting go of decay.

In this new year, we again take our rest, in preparation for the season ahead, lying dormant, waiting for warmth, sunlight and moisture to encourage us to push forth the new growth, the new blossom that will grace the world with our own brilliant hue.
